Develop Responsible, Employable, Ambitious Mindsets
Beartooth Men’s Rehab’s intensive vocational training program helps men take control of their lives and develop independence. As a 50,000-acre “working” cattle ranch, we operate deep in the Wyoming wilderness. Our center is full of daily challenges that help young men take value in their hard work, as they learn how to do various ranch jobs and tasks.
This vocational training program helps young men develop a wide variety of job skills in various industries, as well as build a foundation in general life skills, that can help them in all facets of life. We believe that our long-term residential ranch environment and western “Cowboy Culture” promotes honesty, integrity, responsibility and determination.
That’s why we offer young men hands-on exposure to a variety of vocation/technical trades skills such as: agriculture management, crop irrigation, carpentry, welding, heavy equipment operations, mechanics, horsemanship/horse training, and animal husbandry.

Ride for the Brand
Each young man that participates in Beartooth Men’s Rehab ranch life will be responsible for the care of the livestock, including horses. Through this western cowboy way of life, young men learn to work hard, stick to things even when it gets tough, and to finish what they start.
When the cattle are set to pasture during the summer months, the young men will periodically cover our 40,000 acre range on horseback to monitor the entire herd, making sure there is sufficient water, maintaining fences, and checking that there is not an extensive loss of cattle to predators (bears and wolves). Each young man will also contribute to the production of cattle feed by farming crops during the spring and summer months, when he will learn equipment maintenance, crop irrigation, and welding.
The agricultural way of life will also help your son simplify his needs, and will teach him how to order them around his responsibilities, his faith, and his friendships with others at Beartooth. By “riding for the brand,” your son will gradually heal and begin to understand the importance of practicing an obedience to God in his relationships. And all this works together to help your young man become his best!
